Chapter 1 – Sample Test preparation before PST – JEST Exam.

1. Milk teeth are 20 in number.

2. Sources of calcium are milk, bananas, eggs, spinach etc.

3. Skin shields internal organs from environmental effects and infections.

4. Skin provides us sense of touch.

5. Skin of body is made up of muscles.

6. Muscles are involved with the underlying bones.

7. Muscles and bones work composed to produce movements.

8. Bones help to shield our vital organs like heart, liver, lungs etc.

9. Stomach is a sac like structure. 10. Lungs are present in chest cavity.

11. Lungs are spongy sacs, which keep on growing and contracting.

12. Lungs expand when we inhale air, lungs contract when we exhaled air.

13. Lungs engross oxygen gas from the air.

14. Heart pumps the blood to changed parts of the body.

15. The brain is the controlling center of the body.

16. Diarrhea results from eating stale food

1. Sweet fruits contains carbohydrates such as Potato, wheat, rice, corn etc.

2. Potatoes are a high rich source of carbohydrates.

3. Food contain protein are meat, chicken, pulses, milk etc.

4. Protein helps in growth and healing of wounds.

5. Carbohydrates provide instant energy.

6. Fats provide more energy as compared to carbohydrates and proteins.

7. Vitamins are mostly found in fruits and vegetables.

8. Vitamin D is found in milk.

9. Vitamin A is found in carrots.

10. Vitamin C is found in oranges.

11. Vitamin B is found in green leafy vegetables.

12. Minerals perform functions like building strong bones and teeth etc.

13. Iron is present in meat, eggs, apple and spinach.

14. Potassium is found in bananas, tomatoes, peas, beans and peanuts

15. Balanced diet means a diet, which contains all the food groups in correct amount.

16. If we want to keep healthy then we need balanced diet.

17. Food pyramid is an outline of our balanced diet.

18. Proteins are structure blocks of our body.

19. Fats are existing also in yolk of eggs.

20. Fats are represented at the top most portion of the food pyramid.

21. Our body is full of fat protein.

22. Hygiene means to keep ourselves clean

Chapter 4

1. The natural world that surrounds a living thing is called its environment.

2. All types of environments have two Major parts, biotic and abiotic

3. Land animals have thick skin.

4. Water atmosphere plants have high, elastic branches, which do not break in strong water currents.

5. The Birds have hollow bones and less weight with sharp bodies.

6. Whales and dolphins are not fishes. They are mammals.

7. Whales and dolphins’ fish are come above water to respire.

8. The Animals which eat only plants called herbivores

9. Animals which eat flesh called carnivores, e.g. Tiger, lion, cat, dog, whale, dolphin, many fishes etc.

10. Omnivores means animals, which feed on both plant, and animals called

11. Omnivores example is crow, hen and human beings.

12. Plants are the producers.

13. The Animals eat producers called consumers.

14. After animals and plants expire, their dead bodies are decomposed by bacteria and fungi called decomposers.

15. Decomposition the nutrients are refunded to soil.

16. Food chain means the relationship of eating and being eaten.

17. Boat designed body of fish helps them in movement.

18. Fins are the organs of movement in fish.
